This is Lacey, my new puppy. I got her from Josh's grandfather on Feb. 1st and she is now 8 weeks old. We just went over for lunch and I made a split second decision and I came home with a puppy! She is a jack-russel mix and already knows how to sit and is paper-trained. (We are still working on getting her housebroken.)
Diary
Feb. 2nd: Today was Lacey's first trip to the vet. She was so good when the doctor gave her a shot! I also took her to the soro house today. All my sisters LOVED her!
Feb. 15: Today, Lacey met Grandma and Grandpa Love. My dad seemed to like her but my mom still seems to disaprove of her. Hopefully my mom will learn to love Lacey!
Feb. 16th: Lacey, Alyson (my lilsis), and Bridget (one of our new pledges!), and me went to Petropolis (a pet store) for a play date. I was hoping that this would give Lacey a chance to meet other dogs but when we got there, there were only 3 dogs and they were all HUGE! Lacey sat on my lap for the first 20 minutes or so but after she saw how much fun the other dogs were having, she jumped down and started to play. She was so cute! When the other dogs came to sniff at her, she nipped and pawed at them to teach them that she was the boss! Unfortunatly, a great dame that weighed more than me came in about and hour later so we had to leave. I was afraid Lacey would get eaten! But all in all, we had a nice time so I think we will go back for another play-date soon.
Feb. 20th: Lacey is taking her first big trip to Snellville. I'm also taking her to Stone Mountain to see my lovely plantation.
Feb. 22nd: Josh and me took Lacey to the park today. She got so much attention from everyone we passed.
Feb. 26th: I got so lucky today because I had been in the hospital with a virus and was suppose to take a midterm that I wasn't prepared for but...it snowed!!! We went to Josh's parent's house instead and his dad pulled us around on the sled with the tractor and Josh's mom made snow ice-cream. Lacey didn't like the snow-it was too cold for her. But she watched the fun from inside my jacket!
